  3.      Voice - The most "talkative" of the ducks, voicing a variety of quacks heard most often in autumn and winter, particularly on drizzly days. Females can often be heard uttering a series of laughter-like quacks, becoming more rapid as they descend in loudness and tone.  The males have a quack or "kwek", quieter than those of the female.
